Who we are

Friend and Friends Studio Ltd is a brand design studio based in Cardiff, Wales. When this policy refers to "we", "us" or "our" it means Owen Friend trading as Friend and Friends Studio Ltd. Our registered address is available on request. You can contact us at owen@friendandfriends.co.

What information we collect

When you contact us through our website, fill out a form, or get in touch by email, we may collect your name, email address, company name, and any other information you choose to share with us about your project or enquiry.

We also collect basic analytics data through Squarespace — this includes information about how visitors use our website such as pages visited, time spent on site, approximate location by country, and the device used. This data is anonymised and used only to help us improve the site. We do not use cookies beyond what Squarespace requires to function.

Why we collect it

We collect your information for the following reasons — to respond to your enquiry, to put together a quote or proposal, to fulfil a project contract, and to improve our website and services. We will never sell your data to third parties or use it for purposes beyond those listed here.

The legal basis for processing your data

Under UK GDPR we process your data on the following legal bases — legitimate interests when responding to an enquiry, contractual necessity when fulfilling a project, and consent where you have actively provided your information via a form or email.

How we store your data

Your data is stored securely. Client correspondence and project files are stored in password-protected cloud services. We retain client data for up to six years in line with UK tax and legal requirements. Enquiry data from people we have not worked with is deleted after twelve months.

Third parties

We use a small number of trusted third party services to run our business — Squarespace for our website, Google Workspace for email, and occasionally project management or file sharing tools. These services have their own privacy policies and comply with UK GDPR. We do not share your data with any third party beyond what is necessary to deliver our services.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request that we correct or delete it, object to how we process it, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights please email owen@friendandfriends.co and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The most recent version will always be available on this page with the date it was last updated.

Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your data you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
